Web Content Administration is a branch of the Office of Strategic Communications that has been active since July of 2005. The campus Web site receives nearly 2 million hits a month from visitors across the globe including prospective students or residents, their parents, patients, researchers, media personnel or colleagues of MCG faculty.
News and links on the MCG Web site should be targeted to an external audience. Through the Web Content Office, the Division of University Advancement is working with Web managers across campus to ensure Web sites maintain consistency with the MCG mission, vision and values.
We are here to help campus web publishers improve the effectiveness of their communication efforts and to organize and manage content distributed through MCG Web resources.
The MCG Web environment is in a state of transition with several projects currently under way to improve the publishing and information management processes across campus.
If your department or unit has existing content that needs to be updated, please delegate the task to one of your people, and direct them to our "Getting Started" page. This page also provides useful information if you would like to consider adding a new section to the campus site.
For assistance with your unit’s Web site, contact Allison Brown-Owens, Web content specialist, at ext. 1-9322; or Jack Evans, Web content administrator, at ext. 1-8606.
